Description

Obverse: Radiant Christ standing on clouds holding a banner, surrounded by the text "BOCKPECEHIE XPICTOBO" encircled by ornate outer border

Reverse: Baptism of Christ in the Jordan River, Christ kneels in the water, John the Baptist pours water from a bowl over his head. Dove above, trees on either side, domed structure to the right.

Gold medals such as this were used in verious Slavic-speaking countries, especially the Balkans. - (C.0871)
